It’s perhaps no surprise that biochemistry combines ideas from both the biological and chemical sciences. In particular, biochemists investigate chemical processes that are essential to the functioning of any living thing. It is mostly a laboratory-based science which draws upon methodologies from Chemistry and Biology, and which may also have connections to several other fields. To put it simply, biochemistry may be defined as the study of the chemical processes that sustain life. The fact that it spans so many subfields of chemistry, including but not limited to Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, and Analytical Chemistry, is significant in and of itself. Second, the importance of this study is magnified by the fact that Biochemistry bridges the gaps between these specialised areas of Chemistry and many biological disciplines. Biochemistry is now the most prominent scientific discipline. The significance of science in many various fields, which will be explored in more depth throughout the essay, is associated with the wide scope of application of Biochemistry, which will be similarly elaborated upon. This article will present 10 significant reasons why science is of substantial relevance and has a profound influence on the development of the whole world to further emphasise the significance of Biochemistry.
